Research Description: Sofia is researching urea based and polymer based electrolytes for aluminum ion batteries, a potential commercial alternative for lithium ion batteries. She holds a B.A.Sc. in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and is now a M.A.Sc. student in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto.
