Research Topic: Design and develop novel triboelectric materials and triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) with highly engineered nanostructures in order to achieve enhanced power supply and sensor capabilities with added benefits of mechanical flexibility and stretchability, lightweight, acoustic, and thermal excitation, water/oil absorption, and optical transparency, targeting their application in IoT and 5G communication networks, as well as in wearable technologies

Expertise: Energy harvesting and management, Material design, Advanced manufacturing, Nanogenerators, Self-powered sensor/system, Optimization.

Bio: Mahdi has received his B.Sc. And M.Sc. from the University of Tehran. He was a scientific researcher focusing on energy management and race strategy at the center of Electric-Vehicle at the University of Tehran. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Toronto, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering department under the supervision of Prof. Hani E. Naguib and Prof. Chul B. Park.
